M1 Concourse and Team Stradale launch the M1 Radical Driving Academy
M1 Concourse and Team Stradale are proud to announce the launch of the M1 Radical Driving Academy powered by Team Stradale, an elite driver development program designed to deliver the highest level of performance driving instruction in the Midwest.
The new academy combines the world-class facilities of M1 Concourse with Team Stradale’s proven training methods to create an unparalleled driving experience. Utilizing purpose-built, highly capable yet highly approachable Radical SR3 race cars and a structured professional curriculum, the M1 Radical Driving Academy – powered by Team Stradale will allow drivers of all experience levels to learn advanced techniques, improve precision and confidence, and experience the thrill of true motorsport performance in a safe, controlled environment.
“This partnership represents the best of both worlds,” said Francesco D’Avola, Founder and CEO of Team Stradale. “By bringing together M1’s extraordinary venue and community with Team Stradale’s decades of experience developing drivers at every level, we’re delivering something truly unique. This academy isn’t just about speed – it’s about mastering technique, building confidence, and elevating the driving experience.”
Paul Zlotoff, CEO of M1 Concourse, echoed the excitement about the collaboration:
“From the beginning, M1’s mission has been to create a destination where car enthusiasts and drivers can connect, learn, and grow. Partnering with Team Stradale brings that mission to life in a whole new way. The M1 Radical Driving Academy - powered by Team Stradale gives our members and guests access to professional-level instruction and cars designed for performance, precision, and fun.”
To bring the program to life, M1 Concourse has acquired four new Radical SR3 race cars – machines engineered for precision, reliability, and pure performance. Each SR3 represents the pinnacle of lightweight race car design, delivering supercar-level speed and handling dynamics that redefine what’s possible on a road course.
Powered by Radical’s 1,340cc four-cylinder RPE engine revving to over 10,000 rpm, the SR3 produces 205 horsepower while weighing just 1,350 pounds. With a six-speed sequential gearbox, aerodynamic bodywork, and adjustable suspension, the car accelerates from 0–60 mph in just over 3 seconds and achieves cornering forces of over 2.0g.
The SR3 is Radical’s most successful model worldwide, used in club, national and international racing series including the Radical Cup North America which supports IndyCar events, and renowned for its ability to deliver the feel of a prototype race car with the usability and safety of a track-day platform.
These cars form the heart of the new M1 Radical Driving Academy, allowing students to experience the same equipment used in professional driver development programs across the globe. Combined with Team Stradale’s advanced coaching techniques, telemetry analysis, and personalized instruction, they ensure that every driver – from novice to experienced racer – can reach new levels of performance.
The M1 Radical Driving Academy – powered by Team Stradale will offer a range of programs, including introductory experiences, advanced racecraft sessions, and corporate or private events. All training is conducted by a combination of Team Stradale’s professional instructors and local veterans to the industry many of whom have competed and coached at the highest levels of international motorsport.
The Academy’s inaugural season launches at M1 Concourse in Pontiac, Michigan, offering both members and non-members the opportunity to experience Radical Sportscars and the refined Team Stradale approach to performance driving.
