Zane Smith signs contract extension with Front Row

Front Row Motorsports has signed Zane Smith to a multiyear contract extension to remain the driver of the No. 38 Ford Mustang.

The organization announced Thursday that Smith, 26, will return to its line-up in 2026 alongside Todd Gilliland and Noah Gragson. Smith will remain paired with crew chief Ryan Bergenty, who has overseen the team for the last four seasons.

“We’ve had an up-and-down year, but heading into the offseason, I feel like we’ve put our program in a great position to hit the ground running in 2026,” Smith said. “Front Row has always felt like home – the people, both on the road and at the shop, truly make this a special place and I’m excited for what next season holds.”

Smith is wrapping up his first season driving a Cup Series car for Front Row Motorsports, but his second in the series. Initially, Smith joined Front Row in 2022 to compete in the Craftsman Truck Series. He won the series championship in 2022 and finished seventh in the standings.

In 2024, Smith spent his rookie Cup Series season driving for Spire Motorsports. Smith was on loan from Trackhouse Racing. However, Smith rejoined Front Row Motorsports after being released by Trackhouse, which signed Shane van Gisbergen.

Smith has a career-high five top-10 finishes this season. He is 27th in the point standings with two races remaining.
