Lamborghini reveals Temerario GT3
Lamborghini has officially unveiled the new Temerario GT3 at the Goodwood Festival of Speed, ahead of its planned competition debut in March 2026.
The Temerario GT3 is Lamborghini's first competition race car to be designed, developed, and built internally by the Italian manufacturer. It features the road-going Temerario's 4-liter, twin-turbo V8 engine, but without the hybrid element featured in Lamborghini's latest "baby bull."
Much of the Temerario GT3 has been developed with ease of use in mind for drivers, mechanics, and engineers, including detachable front and subframes, body panels, and suspension mounting plates for faster maintenance and repairs. The car also features an updated interior, new lightweight carbon composite bodywork, and improved airflow for engine and brake cooling.
“Following the sporting and commercial successes of the Huracán GT3 project, with which we won 96 championships and sold over 200 units, we have always envisioned racing derivatives from the very inception of the Temerario project," Lamborghini Chairman and CEO Stephan Winkelmann said. "The Temerario GT3 will set a benchmark for its competitors, just as the road-going Temerario has.”
“The Temerario GT3 has been designed with the end user in mind, said Chief Technical Officer Rouven Mohr. “Everything has been considered, from the efficiency of the aerodynamics to the power curve to the way in which the team is able to operate the car. The car operates in a slightly different area of the performance windows, that are used to balance the cars of different configuration, compared to its predecessor.
“We are confident that it will be competitive in terms of lap time, while also nice to drive in a wide range of conditions, including at night and in the rain. The development team has worked hard to ensure the car has a wide operating window, and that the teams are better able to work on it.”

The Temerario GT3 has been built to succeed the Huracán GT3, which was first introduced in 2015, and captured major endurance race victories at Daytona, Sebring, and most recently Spa - to go along with its 96 championships around the world.
But 2026 will be a "testing year" for the Temerario GT3, according to Mohr. It is expected to debut at the Mobil 1 Twelve Hours of Sebring. After that, it will run in select events and championships to be determined in the coming months, operated by what Mohr calls "pinnacle teams."
A maximum of 10 Temerario GT3s will be built for next year, due to high demand for the street car, with which the GT3 version shares the same production line at the Sant'Agana Bolognese factory in Italy. During this interim period, Lamborghini will continue to support customers using the Huracán GT3 EVO2 in championships around the world.
"Next year, for us, it's more about learning the car and bringing the car in the performance window," Mohr said of the Temerario's staggered launch. "We'll select the teams where we have a good collaboration and a good partnership. And this we will also decide based on the development growth, by which we will also decide then which teams get the allocation. But for sure, there will be a mixture (of both Lamborghini models racing together next year)," he added.
