‘Just Hands: For the Love of Racing’ docuseries launches on Prime
"Just Hands: For the Love of Racing," a four-part docuseries from Sonic Gods Studios, launches today on Prime Video. It follows the journey of Pennzoil ambassador Torsten Gross, a quadriplegic driver and founder of the Just Hands Foundation, as he challenges convention and competes at the top level of GT racing.
With a cinematic lens and emotional depth, the series fuses fast-paced, adrenaline-filled racing with Torsten’s mission to break physical and societal barriers. His story redefines what inclusion looks like on the track and inspires viewers to reconsider the boundaries of sport and ability.
Pennzoil is more than a partner in this series; it’s a champion of Torsten and the Just Hands Foundation, a nonprofit working to redefine accessibility in motorsports and beyond. This is not just a story about racing, but one of resilience, determination, and visibility for people with disabilities, spotlighting the groundbreaking work being done to make the track more inclusive for all.
“Visibility matters, big time. If you can’t see it, you can’t be it," said Torsten." When I got into motorsports, I noticed something missing: people like me. The few disabled driver stories were about racers who got injured and came back. But what about someone like me – someone who was already in a chair and wanted to race? This docuseries proves that race, gender, orientation, and ability don’t define success.”
“Torsten’s story is a powerful reminder that the love of driving knows no boundaries; it’s driven by passion, performance, and persistence," said Angela Edgar, Vice President of Lubricants Marketing, Pennzoil. "Pennzoil is proud to support this inspiring docuseries that challenges convention and proves the thrill of getting behind the wheel can be accessible to all.”
